Maintenance contracts are very important to the smooth running of a busy kitchen. If catering equipment breaks down then the kitchen can not function correctly resulting in either the product being incorrectly cooked and prepared, being late at front of house or not being produced at all.

By carrying out regular preventive maintenance to your key equipment, we can reduce the risk of breakdown, increase the efficiency of the equipment, ensure that it is safe to operate and on many occasions, pre-warn you of imminent failure.

It is also states in The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998, Part F Section 35, that It shall be the duty of every employer or self-employed person to ensure that any gas appliance, installation pipework or flue installed at any place of work under his control is maintained in a safe condition so as to prevent risk of injury to any person... and 36(3)(a) A landlord shall ensure that each appliance and flue to which that duty extends is checked for safety within 12 months of being installed and at intervals of not more than 12 months since it was last checked for safety. Gas safety checks are an integral part of our catering service contracts (ppm) where gas appliances are installed, We keep all relevant maintenance records, a copy of which can be supplied if necessary. Gas safety certificates and Landlords certificates also supplied on request.

We would initially visit your premises to discuss your requirements. During the visit, our representative will make a list of all equipment and take a note of model and serial numbers related to the items that are to be serviced. This information is then returned to our office and added to our database for future reference. A quotation will be composed from the same information and then posted to you. This visit is without obligation and free of charge. Should you wish to go ahead with the agreement, all you have to do is return the signed agreement within 3 months. We will then contact you to make arrangements for the scheduled visits.


We offer two types of Maintenance Contract.

Preventive Maintenance Only (Type A)

We visit your premises on predetermined dates and carry out a full check of all listed equipment. Any faulty critical parts that can be replaced from the technician's vehicle stock, are replaced during the service visit. Following the visit, a report will be sent to you, by fax, email or post, itemising the work carried out and any work or parts that are still required. This includes an estimated cost of any additional work.

The catering contract fee is fixed and quoted as a yearly amount but can be paid monthly, following each visit, or prepaid annually as preferred.

The frequency of the visits is decided by yourself. We advise 2 visits per year, but you can request as many as you wish.


Labour Inclusive (Type B)

In addition to Type A above, labour for the year is inclusive in the contract price. This includes the service visits and all emergency callouts. It does not cover; false alarms, user error, faults caused by misuse or  non-breakdown callouts. The labour covered by the contract is for work carried out during normal working hours unless out of hours work has been previously agreed during the contract negotiation and written into the Planned Preventive Maintenance agreement.


In both Type A and B all parts are charged in addition to the service contract fee.
